Quote: "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." — Psalm 107:1 (KJV)*

The Final Day

Today is the day I leave Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, TN.

I’m packing my bag, looking around this room one last time. It’s been my home for a little while now, but today, I’m going home.

As I get ready to walk out those doors, I don’t feel anxiety. I don’t feel fear. I just feel an abundance of gratitude.

To the nurses who checked on me with a smile. To the doctors who listened. To the staff who kept things running smoothly. To the Financial Aid team who helped me navigate the stressful parts—thank you. You treated me like a person, not just a patient number. Your kindness made a hard time so much easier.

Ready for the New Chapter

I am stepping out of this hospital to begin my New Chapter.

I have no fear. I have no doubts. I am ready to take on the world.

My limb is strong. My mind is clear. I know that what lies ahead isn’t a limitation—it’s an opportunity. I am walking into this next phase of my life with my head held high, trusting God for every step.

An Overwhelming Surprise

Yesterday, I found out something that just melted my heart.

My church is spearheading a campaign to make sure I have food and all the necessities I need while I recover.

When I heard the news, I was speechless. To know that my church family is stepping up like that, organizing help, making sure I’m taken care of—it’s just another reminder that I am not fighting this battle alone.

My heart is so full.

Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for loving me in a practical way. That kind of support is better than any medicine.

Moving Forward

I’m going home to rest and heal. But I’m also going home with a full heart and a peaceful spirit.

Thank you, Parkwest. Thank you to everyone who prayed. And thank you to my church family.

Let’s start this new chapter.

Message of the Day:

You never know how much your help means until you’re the one who needs it. Be the person who steps up when others can't.

Question for Reflection:

Has anyone ever stepped into your life with unexpected kindness? How did it change your perspective?
